If elected, I promise:
To put our children at the center of any decision that I make and question how it serves them, their futures, and their families.
To help foster a culture of inclusivity and non-judgement. This includes being open to and encouraging various perspectives and viewpoints. Good faith debate and constructive conflict are imperative for healthy relationships- including the one between the school system and the community.
To encourage teachers to speak openly about their needs and concerns and foster a work environment they feel proud and enjoy being a part of.
To encourage feedback from our community and listen to what they say they want and do not want from their school system.
To help provide strong leadership, set common-sense policy, and present a clear vision.
To be diligent in our budgeting discussions and maximize the benefits of where we spend our tax dollars.
To encourage and support challenging our students academically and pushing them out of their comfort zones in order to help best prepare them for life beyond graduation.
To ensure I represent the people of this community and get clear answers to their questions and explain my decision-making.
To always have my door and lines of communication open to anyone that wants or needs it without judgement or reserve.
